Rooted in Rhythm
five weeks of Chinese Medicine wisdom and embodied movement
Week 4 - Acupressure: The Body's Own Medicine
Traditional herbalism, hiding in plain sight
Monday: The medicine already in your kitchen. Ginger, cinnamon, mint, dandelion, and the traditional wisdom behind why these remedies have lasted generations.
Thursday: Grounded, rooted movement. Floor-based strength work and steady qi gong that echoes the quiet, tending energy of a kitchen witch.
Week 1 - Living in Harmony with the Seasons
Each week explores a different thread from Taoist philosophy to kitchen herbalism to hands-on healing tools like acupressure, gua sha, and cupping, paired with a sweaty, stretchy class that lets your body move through what you just learned.
Who it's for: Anyone curious about Chinese Medicine, looking to deepen a movement practice, or wanting a weekly rhythm of learning and moving together. No prior experience with TCM or Pilates required.
When: Mondays and Thursdays, September 7th – October 8th, 6:00–6:45pm PST
Format: Virtual over Zoom. Join class by class, or commit to the full 10-class series.
The framework for everything that follows
Monday: How Chinese Medicine reads the year. Each season asks something different of the body, and what it means to move with that rhythm instead of against it.
Thursday: A flow that shifts in quality throughout class. Quick and expansive, then slow and contained, mirroring the seasonal turn we just talked about.
Tools for circulation and release, a fitting close to our series
Monday: What gua sha and cupping actually do physiologically, plus how to use them safely at home.
Thursday: A circulation-focused closing class. Dynamic warm-up, deep stretch, and myofascial release designed to move stagnation and send everyone off feeling opened up.
